the Puzzle Challenge of Techniche'11
This Event will run for 7 straight days with a puzzle being posted everyday at 6 p.m. (IST)
The team scoring the highest, 24 Hrs. after the inception of the 7th puzzle will be declared the winner.
The participant with the first correct submission will be awarded the maximum Pts and successive submissions will be awarded with diminishin Pts.

Welcome to ByteCode 2011, the online programming contest of Techniche.
It is with great pleasure that we announce Polaris Software Lab Ltd. as one of the sponsors for the event .Techniche along with Polaris is going to do something unique.
The team which wins the first prize will receive an offer letter each from Polaris Software Lab Ltd. There possibly cannot be a bigger prize than this.
Event is going to start from september 1st and is a four day event.
Every day we will be releasing a question(at 9:00 p.m) which has to solved within one and half hour.
C,C++ or Java can be used to solve the questions.
Questions will be based on basics of Data Structures and Algorithms.
The team with the highest score wins.
Since our event is conflictiong with on of the nights of Techniche,the question 1 has been postponed to 22:00 hrs and participants can submite their solutions till 23:30 hrs

The event will comprise of questions (that would be presented on a dynamic web platform)on arithmetic topics, both ancient and modern, that have been at the centre of interest in applications of number theory, particularly in cryptography such as public key cryptosystems. As such, no background in algebra or number theory is required.
Questions will be arranged according to their level of difficulty. A question in a particular difficulty level would carry some value if it is answered correctly. All questions in one difficulty level carry the same value. The participants would be given a time interval within which they would have to score the maximum they can. The participants can switch between questions in various difficulty levels. The team that scores the maximum would win.
